Being A Father#

My son Duncan was born late last year. My love for him is indescribable. My wife Esther and I have been spending a lot of time caring for him and getting to know him. He is a blessing from God.

Related Projects#

I’ve also created an Astro Suite Obsidian Vault collection and a special Astro theme called Astro Modular. Most of these plugins relate to these projects directly. I’m absolutely loving it.

I’m using a combination of Cursor, DeepWiki, and Grok to create these.

Trying to Read More Often#

I’ve been working through The Transparent Society by David Brin, but not making much progress, however I’ve been keeping up with my daily Bible reading goals. I will finish the New Testament by the end of this year.

Not Drinking Soda#

I’m completely avoiding soda for the whole year.

Making YouTube Videos#

I am somewhat regularly uploading on my main YouTube channel - mostly known for videos related to the Super Smash Bros. series of games, but I’m trying to broaden out from that. I also have a Bonus channel where I upload more casual content.

Getting Involved In Church#

My wife Esther and I have made deliberate choices to be more involved in our local church, so we’ve been doing that. She attends bible studies and a mother’s encouragement group, and we both attend regular morning service. I am part of the evangelism committee and also the father’s group as well.
